I'm not sure if you'll be up to this, but... I run a VERY small (me and a friend) Home Theater desing and installation company. I work at Best Buy and got tired of telling people "no, I don't know anyone who installs them. So, I started doing it myself. I've done about 50 of them now, and everyone is very happy. The scope of my biz doesn't encompass anything of the scale you seem to have achieved. My customers usually spend under $2000 including the install! If you'd care to/be able, you might reference my name to people visiting your page (is this a LINK? I don't think it is as you're not sending them to another WEB page.) I'll be happy to take calls @ 214-504-6684 (Dallas area) Or they can E-Mail me at DJTEMPO@aol.com. If you can, thanks. I've been wanting to put together a "page" but am not quite sure how! Favorite Movie: My favorite..hmmm...Umm. That is a tough one!

Oh here is why I get to talk about MY home theater! It dosne't live up to yours, I will tell you that... (obvious attempt to brownnose if you don't mind!) Anyway, I have a: Pioneer CLD-S201 Laserdisk Player Yamaha R-V98 Dolby Pro-Logic reciever putting out 220 front speaker watts Bose Acoustimass 5 system (which is 2 left cube speakers, 2 right cube speakers, and a subwoofer..which is being used for the rear surrounds) KLH Puny Center Speaker 2 Jensen surround sound speakers Optimus Subwoofer, which is being used for the front all surrounded by me... awesome, huge, great, amazing fantastic, theater-like crap 27" T.V!!! I know, I know, but hey....at least it sounds awesome! Plus I have the (My newest at fav.) Star Wars Definitive THX Collection Laserdisks. With 57 other movies which range from: The Lion King box set to New Nightmare, to Robocop Criterion, to Pink Floyd, to Yanni! Ok, Enough...you are probably rolling on the floor laughing so hard. Ya know, I can actually hear you! Anyway, here are my questions... I want (MY DREAM) is to build my own home theater, with theater seats all the whole nine yards....but the only people I can talk to about it are pushy salesmen (know if you are a salesmen, the precedding statement does not apply to you....kiss...kiss!) So finailly, with the wonderfull technology of the Internet, and a little Yahoo surfing, I came across you....my idol...,my friend... my GOD! Ok: How much time did it take you to make yours If you don't mind me asking (Ballpark) how much did it set you back...(Including equipment, and building costs.. from the carpet, to the building of the room, to the wiring and the seats and all the great stuff!) And did, you have to modify the room, or did you build it specifically to your tastes...and what not! Please, I would like to become your second hand man, your guardian angel, your friend, your ......your........ _______________ fill in the blank, because my mind just became it! Anyway, please write back to me. Oh, I'm sure you want to know about me? Well I am 20 years old, live at home, and work a fun part time job. I was going to the Art Institute of Pittsburgh to study special effects, but I wasn't the "Artist" type person so I left, to come back here. My whole life, I have loved movies, but it has only been recently that I have actually decided to notice the soundtrack for a movie, is just as important as to what your eyes see on the screen. I got my laserdisk player for christmas..after MUCH begging. And, I heard that the sound from that is just AMAZING, so.. I decided to hook my stereo up to it, and it sounded even better! The movie I used to hear on it was the Abyss Special Edition. Then one night, I asked my mom to see if I can use her Sears card to buy some tee-shirts for school (I was still a junior) she said O.K, so me and my two best friends went with me. Well I am also a computer NUT! So I decided to look at the computer stuff while I was there, then next to the comp. is the T.V and speaker (Their AKA home theater selection) So I moseyed over there to ask some questions, and the salesmen took me through the basics of home theater. He told me that I needed a stereo reciver, and 2 front speakers, a center speaker and 2 rear speakers to get the surround sound theater effect. Well, he showed me some stuff and, drooling, and NOT thinking...I said "O.K" and bought the stuff! Well, I came home that night, and my Mom said "Those aren't Fu**ing teeshirts!" I said "I know, but just wait and listen!" Well I set it up, and afterwards she said "How much?" "About 500 dollars" Well, she liked it! So I wasn't in trouble! Much trouble, till my Dad found out....Woahhhhh boy he was NOT happy! Anyway, that is how it started! Then it progressed to what I have now! BUT it isn't enough. I want my own room that I CAN call my "Home Theater" and , since I found you, I guess you can help me out....ole buddy ole pal! Please write me back! Talk to ya later! John P. Townsend at (Darkstar@Nji.com) Later!

Your home theater is one of the most spectacular graphics I seen on the web... as a graduate student, I am just starting a multimedia class and would like to use your home theater picture as a background when displaying AVI or QT movies. I plan to show my project to my peers and perhaps a few people at IBM where I work. May I have your consent via email... I would be delighted to provide your name in the credits and comply with any other requirement...

We in the UK find it very difficult to get hold of Laserdisks, pal releases are normally 2-3 months behind US releases. It would be very helpfull to have names and fax numbers of companies in the states that sell disks and would be prepared to sell them.
