A friend is offering me a Runco CinemaPro 750 and 100" diag. Stewart screen for $4000. Is this a fair deal? Is this a bad investment considering video technology in near future? P.S. your system looks great!

Hi, I found out about your home theater from Steve McMahan who visited your house during a supper club visit. I'm in the process of having my home theater built and have a couple of question I hope you don't mind answering. First, I have sound proofed the room with 2 layers of sheetrock with a 3/4" foam board in between. What I worried about is how to sound insulate the door. Did you do anything speical there? Also i'm trying to use the room for both movies and audio (stereo only). What I would like to do is be able to turn off my subwoofer while listening to CD's. The only way I have figured out is to run speaker level output from the B side of the amplifer (Yamaha reciever) to the sub and then turn off the B side. The reciever also has a sub line level out, but its uncontrolable. Do you have any suggestions? Its looks like you have a very nice system and have done a wonderful job on your theater room. My will not be so nice but it will better than nothing. I'm currently waiting for the DVD and AC3 equipment to come out before I go and buy a high-end preamp and decoder, so instead I bought the Yamaha to tide me over. My system will include Snell speakers and a Sunfire amp, adcom cd, yamaha reciever (using on the preamp out to the sunfire amp, and a 61" Sony XBR TV. I hoping it will all be complete in a couple of months. By the way I work with Steve a Cyrix. mark

It was just to say that you have a GREAT Home Theater system And I just wanted to let you know ^_^ Europe is so far back in all that kind of equipment that I have to buy it from the US also ^_^ because here prices are so ridiculous and we can't get any decent equipment. Goodmorning I am an engineer for KENW-TV (PBS) Eastern New Mexico University and we just put a camara on top of a 185 foot tower here on campus and hope to get it on the Kenw Home Page as we get it all worked out. I wanted to be a fireman when I grew up, but I think I want to be you. I went to high school and college with the daughter of the owner of Home Entertainment, and I used to be in awe of their home system. No longer. Wow. My parents McIntosh audio system used to impress me. In college I was always the apartment or frat room people hung out at since I had/have a prologic amp, Peavey PA monitors with 18" subs, full surround, etc. but I can't imagine the absolute intensity your system feeds.
